TRAVEL:
We are hitting the road in October, and we would love to come to your city or town! If your area does not make it into the plans this year, don't worry. Here are a few options for you: Get 10 people from your area to agree to attend a PSM class (everyone w...ill be required to pay 1/2 cost of class and booking fee before class in scheduled), and WILL COME TO YOU! Hey Everyone!

I know it's been FOREVER since I've posted here. I've been busy steadily launching the new PSM Makeup Artistry Classes for may.

So far, I've:

I have many brands in my PRO kit. While a lot of artist stick with MAC, I'm a makeup artist and a certified makeup junkie as well. :) So I like to try new things.

Here's a run-down of what's in there and a few photos:

Hi Everyone!

Sorry, I've been M.I.A. for a while, but I'm back, and with some good news!

In November, Prostyle Makeup had our first Makeup classes for beginners, and everything went Great!

The class was small and intimate, and the feedback was positive! The next classes will be held in January, and this time, we're adding "Intermediate" classes as well!

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall....when you need a new look, who will you call?

I know that fashion repeats itself, but it seems that the trends are cycling too quickly. Hollywood glam is one of the looks for Fall, and here I am, trying to find the perfect red lipstick......again. It almost seems that the industry is lacking in the creativity department. I'm ready for something dramatic!

So, this year, I'm setting my own new trend. It's called, "Made you look!". The idea is to get an inspiration, and run with it. Be yourself, be fun and above all, be bold. Now, I'm not going to parade around town looking like a peacock, but I want people to take notice.

I'm ditching the traditional black and gray smokey eye, and I'm throwing in purple, copper, green, and any other lovely deep color I have in my kit. Maybe I'll add a swirl at the end of my eyeliner. :) Who's going to tell me I can't?

How to Score the Best Prices on Cosmetics

The recession feels like it's still in full swing, but that's no reason to look un-fabulous! Here are a few money-saving tips that will keep you looking great, without making your wallet look ugly.

TIP 1) Revisit the drugstore! So many brands have upgraded their formulas. Here are a few I've recently tried:

Foundation: Mabelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Liquid Foundation. It is good for normal to dry skin, and comes in a large variety of colors. It retails for a little over $8 on drugstore.com, and right now they have a BOGO (Buy One, Get One 1/2 off-any Mabelline product) sale!

Foundation: L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup. I love this one in the summer months, or for someone with year-round oily skin. It also works well on a normal to dry skintype, but sometimes it's best to apply a little extra moisturizer. It retails for $10.95 at drugstore.com, and it's also part of their BOGO sale!

** MUA tip: Apply these foundations with a kabuki brush for an airbrushed application. I love this one from the Too Faced Teddybear Hair Collection:

TIP 2) Shop the soon-to-be discontinued, and sale sections of your favorite high-end brands. Many brands will sell products that they will no longer carry for up to 75% off on their sites. Visit these brand sites to view what's on sale.

If your favorite brand isn't here, go directly to their site and look for sales and discontinued items.

TIP 3) Join a site that allows you to sell or swap items with other makeup fanatics. Sites like Makeupgeek.com or Makeupalley.com. Just be careful. Be sure to clean products carefully after receiving them. Also, check the seller/swapper rating before completing any transaction, and follow site guidelines.

Natural Body Butter
Winter months are fast approaching, and along with them, they promise dry-skin issues for many of us. I have to introduce Korres to those of you that may not have heard of it. It is a natural product with no - Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs or Triclosan. My favorite scent is the Guava. It's tropical, but with warm undertones, to reduce the sweetness. It is AWESOME! I got my bottle at Sephora. Put a little on right after the shower, and you're good to go!

Truest Red Lipstick
These days, many are reaching for that Hollywood Glam face, and hit a brick wall when trying to find the right shade of red. You know the one, fiery-but not too orange, pigmented-and not pink or blue. Well, I must say that Makeup Forever has one of the very best. # 206 (Hollywood Red) is the truest color of red I've seen. Facial Cleanser for Refreshed Skin

Hello and Welcome!

I am just starting this blog, so I would like to take a little time to tell you about myself.
I am a makeup artist in Atlanta, GA. I have been doing this for over four years, and I love it!

It started with me becoming a Makeup Junkie while working at Sephora.
I became a certified color expert, and also became a Cargo Master Artist.
Soon after, I began freelancing for photo shoots, television, and weddings.

I have an extra-large rolling makeup case, as well as a smaller carrying case. I will post photos soon. You can find the following brands in my case:
